Our Work

First Responders Benefit is a fundraising organization that is committed to supporting the local first responders who risk their lives daily. We raise funds to provide support and assistance to those who put themselves on the line for us every day. Our mission is to ensure that our local first responder personnel have the resources and assistance that they need to continue serving our community.

Yerington / Mason Valley Fire Explorers Program

After the conclusion of our very first event, we awarded the Yerington / Mason Valley Fire Department Explorers program $750 to use for their training program

02

Lyon County Sheriff

This grant covered multiple requests made by the Lyon County Sheriff's Office. Initially $6,000 was requested to send two deputies and one lieutenant to School Resource Officer training in Austin, Texas. The remaining balance was used to purchase training upper receivers for the department's duty issued weapons. This allows our deputies to train with the firearm they carry on duty, in a safe manor.

03

LCSO K9 Program

For this project, we teamed up with two of our corporate sponsors and levied gift matching, to award the LCSO K9 program with $10,000 to use for the procurement of an additional K9 and related equipment.

04

Yerington Police Department

We were happy to work with the Yerington Police Department on this project. YPD requested funds to purchase a Triumph 4 double motor commercial shooting system. This system allows the training officer to completely change the shooting course quickly and easily. The targets are double sided with one being a "shooter" and the other a bystander. In today's times this system allows our officers to quickly distinguish between the two.

Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

Our slogan, "Backing the Badge" sometimes means just that. For this project we backed the Dayton Chapter of LETR, rolled up our sleeves and helped them host a golf tournament for Special Olympics! All fundraising was completed by LETR and we were happy to help them with their event.

06

Guardian Angel Personal Safety Lights

The LED powered safety lights were purchased for the Lyon County Sheriff's Office and the Yerington Police Department. The lights attach to officer and K9 vests, have multiple lighting patterns and allow high visibility when needed most to keep our officers seen and safe.

LCSO SWAT

LCSO SWAT reached out to FRB to assist with acquiring new uniforms for the SWAT team. Their uniforms were in need of a serious upgrade. These new uniforms are specifically designed to be used during SWAT type operations where added safety is needed. Integrated pads help with the excessive body armor and allow for quicker response.
